The Bear Wall

Hello: This is the beginning of a great blog where you will be able to see what is happening to about a couple of thousand of sweet bears. I've been collecting these friends for such a long time and have about 20 big "pods" full. The pods are big trash collector bins on wheels so when loaded with the bears they stay clean and dry. So what to do with them? My first idea came to past about 25 years ago when I created the first "teddybearchair" out of a hanging rattan chair. I have a terrific picture of this that I will add later. My chair project started as a project I did at San Jose State when I was working towards my teaching certificate back in 1975 as an art project. A big rattan oval hanging swing chair begged to be the star. I macramed this big chair and that was fine for a while, but later I attached all these bears and the TeddyBearChair was born...It's hard to believe that this was 35 years ago. When I got my first computer in 1980 I called my email teddybearchair and everyone said that this was to long, but I liked it and I knew I was going to do some great projects with all the teddybears. So today begins a new chapter in this most excellent adventure.
